STAR Wars actress Felicity Jones has revealed how Prof Stephen Hawking once flirted with her.
The British actress, 33, played his first wife Jane Wilde in the movie, which earned lead star Eddie Redmayne an Oscar in 2015.
She revealed the legendary professor, who is 41 years her senior, made an awkward proposal during a surprise visit to filming.
Felicity said: “He came to set and we were very nervous and tried to do our very best version of the take.
“When the director called ‘cut’ we all waited anxiously to know what he would think and he wrote down, ‘Would Felicity please be able to give me a kiss?”
Rogue One… Felicity in her Star Wars story role
Lead star Eddie revealed shortly after the film was released that Stephen was “incredibly flirtatious” on set and labelled him “a complete player”.
Birmingham-born Felicity was also nominated for an Oscar for her role in the movie, but lost out to Julianne Moore, 56, who starred in Still Alice.
However, portraying Stephen’s first wife in The Theory Of Everything propelled her into the elite group of leading ladies in Hollywood.
Her biggest role to date is starring in new Star Wars spin-off Rogue One, which was released this week.
She revealed on last night’s Graham Norton Show on BBC1, she’s struggled to keep plot details secret from her sci-fi obsessed pals for two years.
Felicity said: “It was quite a burden for two years and then when the whole cast watched the film a couple of weeks ago there was a feeling of collective relief that at some point we would actually be able to talk about it.
“My friends would ask me what was happening in the film and I really wanted to tell them but had to keep my mouth shut.”
